Our dance instructors

Victoria Hill:

Victoria Hill trained up to Advanced Two in RAD ballet in Durban, South Africa under Betty Blake. In 1995, she trained and performed for two years with Kwazulu Natal Youth Ballet Company where she was given a lead role. She was selected for scholarship classes with The Natal Performing Arts Company in 1995. Victoria danced regularly in shows, festivals and events.  She had her advanced and teacher training at the Royal Academy of dance in London and graduated there in 2000. She also had a teaching apprentice under Sarah Doidge in Abingdon. Victoria opened The Victoria Hill School of Ballet in 2001 and loves teaching her students, preparing them for exams and choreographing school shows. In addition, she also teaches dance in primary schools. She keeps up to date with continuing professional development and still performs today.

Miss Elspeth

Miss Elspeth had her RAD Ballet Graded and Vocational training in Oxfordshire since she was three years old, she has recently taken her Advanced One exam. Miss Elspeth has taken part in regular performances throughout her ballet training and she has also assisted her ballet teacher, finally graduating from the Royal Academy of Dance’s Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies. Separate to this Miss Elspeth has attended Durham University, graduating with a degree in Natural Sciences, and is currently working as a freelance ballet teacher. Miss Elspeth has a huge enthusiasm for teaching ballet and we are excited to have her as part of our team!

Miss Abigail

Abigail Attard Montalto grew up and trained in Malta, completing her ISTD level Advanced 2 in Classical Ballet, Advanced 1 Jazz and Intermediate Tap. Having been awarded a scholarship from the Malta Arts Council, Abigail to moved to London to begin a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance at London Studio Centre. Majoring in Contemporary Dance and Classical Ballet, Abigail graduated in 2016 with a first class honours. Abigail has danced with the Malta Dance Council Ensemble and for many different choreographers. More recently. she has performed in ‘The Cunning Little Vixen’ at Arcola Theatre and will start choreography for a new Opera in the coming season. Abigail also creates  her own work. This year, an extended excerpt of ‘Decay’ was performed at Abeerance #11. Abigail enjoys teaching classical ballet and has studied the RAD syllabi with our school. She loves working with students by focussing on developing their technique and encouraging them.

Miss Nicola

Nicola Heffes-Doon  is a professional dancer and dance teacher. She graduated from London Studio Centre in 2011 with a BA (Hons) in Theatre Dance and Advanced Two RAD. Since then, she has performed and taught in the UK, Brazil, Trinidad and Grenada with companies including: Fulham Opera, The People Pile, Aegis Live Art, EIC Dance Theatre, Cascade Festival Ballet, Conception Dance Theatre and Elevate ’08 (apprentice company of Springs Dance Company). In 2015 she founded her own company NHD Dance that provided dance entertainment for hotels and events in Grenada. Alongside her performance work she has taught extensively in the UK and abroad, preparing students for exams as well as choreographing school shows. In 2016 she completed her Certificate in Dance Education with they Royal Academy of Dance.

Miss Adams

Colette Adams had her RAD Ballet Graded and Vocational training under Amanda Fresecura who trained and performed with The Royal Ballet. As a young student she performed in festivals and shows as well as Pantomimes usually having the lead roles and achieved outstanding results in her exams. Miss Adams also assisted her teachers and there a love of teaching began. Miss Adams began full time teacher training in 2016 and is now in her final year of BA (Hons) in Dance & Performance at Bucks New University alongside also doing teaching work. Miss Adams also has a love of choreography and her work here has proved successful in winning dance competitions. Miss Adams has also attended training courses at the RAD Headquarters, London and has worked alongside Mrs Hill. She is delighted to be part of the team to share her passion for dance and performance with the school.
